Supportive Housing for Those in Recovery

Prepare for a Healthier Future
with Sober Houses IN Massachusetts

After drug and alcohol treatment, reintegrating into everyday life can be a challenge. Sobriety doesn’t happen automatically when treatment is over, and challenges in work, school, family, or social circles can introduce stress that’s a threat to relapse.

The sober living journey can be challenging for anyone in recovery. Sober living communities offer a transitional home to work on valuable life skills and gain support to prepare for your own recovery journey.

Help is available.

Sober homes in Massachusetts offer a safe, sober living environment surrounded by the beauty of New England. Patients can connect with other recovery peers on similar journeys and face the struggles of substance abuse and addiction in a stable community.

Attending treatment programs and spending time in a sober living home offers support, structure, and ongoing care resources to manage the obstacles to sobriety and achieve recovery goals.

A Brighter Future Starts
at Psyclarity Sober Living

What Is a
Sober Home?

Sober homes, also known as sober living homessober houses, or recovery houses, are designated drug-free recovery residences for individuals to spend time with peers and learn the skills necessary to reintegrate into society. Our facility allows us to provide care plans with compassionate clinical staff and a group of peers to share in the experience of addiction treatment and recovery together.

The goal of staying in a sober living house is to transition from a successful Residential Treatment  or Outpatient Treatment Program into their daily routine and responsibilities to work, school, or family.

At Psyclarity, our sober living homes in Massachusetts are located in the heart of nature to incorporate Experiential Therapy and outdoor activities into the treatment plan. Patients are free of distractions and have opportunities to take part in activities to gain new hobbies and coping mechanisms.

But the biggest benefit of sober living homes is the support system. Instead of transitioning directly from intensive treatment, patients can readjust and refocus with peers on a similar journey to learn healthy habits and coping skills as they transition to independent living.  It’s a space to build a foundation for healing and sobriety.

What Does Life in a Psyclarity
Recovery Home Look Like?

Psyclarity offers the highest standard of care and accountability for ourselves and our patients in our certified sober homes. We provide a safe and confidential environment that holds personal accountability and awareness in the highest regard. We expect our patients to share in this commitment to relapse prevention and personal safety for themselves and their fellow patients.

If there’s a momentary lapse in judgment or a relapse, we are compassionate and understanding. With this admission, we can move forward with a renewed focus on sobriety and structure.

For many, recovery can be a long journey with many challenges along the way. Abstinence is the only way forward to a sober and healthy future. Our clinical staff will perform regular drug testing and enforce a strict curfew to keep all of our patients safe and secure. Though treatment can get emotional at times, we expect participants to show the utmost respect for staff and peers in every interaction.

Anyone who wants to be part of our sober living home must commit to treatment, meetings, support groups, and part of the house chores or expenses. We do not permit overnight guests or pets, and internet access is a privilege granted on a case-by-case basis.

The Psyclarity Sober
Living Home Promise

We promise to provide compassionate, evidence-based, structured support to our patients. Each patient is approached as an individual, and we provide personalized services and resources to help them succeed in our recovery community and sober living space.

This structure is integral to the success of long-term recovery. Our sober living program doesn’t just address drug addiction, but the underlying causes to build a meaningful sober living experience and develop the skills for a healthier path forward.

Each and every patient is considered with compassion and understanding. We do everything in our power to help our patients prepare for their reintegration into daily life with healthy habits.

Frequently Asked Questions About
Sober Housing & Supportive Living

Answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about sober housing are below:

Who is a Good Candidate For Sober Housing?

If you are coming to our treatment center from out of town or if you are in early recovery and your own home is not conducive to recovery, sober living facilities are a healthy option for you.

What’s the Difference Between a Sober House and a Halfway House?

Both of these living arrangements are designed to support individuals transitioning to a new phase in their lives, but ther terms are often confused. A sober living home is for people who are transitioning from a substance abuse treatment program to a life outside of recovery, and halfway houses are designed to support those in transition from an institution to independent living.

How Long Do You Need to Live in Sober Housing?

How long you live in sober  housing depends on your individual circumstances. Some people stay in sober living homes  for weeks while others stay longer. Your care team will help you determine how long it is beneficial for you to stay in a sober living environment.

Can You Live in Sober Housing if You Are Actively Using?

Sober living houses are meant to be alcohol and drug-free. It is not conducive to your recovery or the recovery of those in your supportive living community for anyone in the home to be actively using. If you are in supportive housing and find yourself actively using, speak with your care team or the house manager about the best next steps.

What Happens After You Leave a Recovery House?

After you exit sober housing, you will be ready for independent living. Throughout your treatment, you will learn the coping mechanisms necessary to return to your regular life.
